I’m Matt Ballard owner of Free Burn 2023. I’m a Career Firefighter/Paramedic with over 20 years of experience. Free Burn 2023 was started to help brothers and sisters in the first responder community struggling with mental illness and in need of resources. Eventually we hope to have our non profit status where we will help cover the cost of counseling services for those first responders that can’t afford the cost. I also do speaking engagements on mental health awareness for first responders and share my journey with mental health. I also have a podcast Free Burn 2023 where I invite first responders on and we talk all things mental health in the first responder community.
